Deep thoughts about cute shoes -

I had a lovely lunch at P.F. Chang's yesterday (it's not the greatest restaurant on the earth, but hey, it has a gluten-free menu) and happened to walk through the adjacent Nordstrom. There, I realized how much I loved shoes. Just the sight and smell (yes, smell. I think it's leather and glue) excited me. It's a good thing I was in a hurry to get to a doctor's appointment.

I know I'm supposed to have deeper reasons, but is it so bad if one of my motivations for getting better was to be able to wear cute shoes again (without hurting too much)?

I don't think it's a bad reason at all! A lot of us girls enjoy looking cute and if that is somehow taken away, we want to get it back. Believe me....I KNOW about the whole cute shoe thing. I have never been able to wear cute shoes longer then the amount of time it takes to walk from the car to the table at a restaurant. All my shoes are manly and worn and kind of ugly. I would love to be able to just slip on any pair of shoes painlessly. It would bring joy to my life.

:-) I knew it wasn't just me!!! (And I bet you work around cute shoes, working in a boutique.)

I wish we could have shoe parties, where we get to wear a bunch of cute shoes, and people carry us around so we don't have to walk in them :P
