Fall Bounty! -

Weather: Sunny! Beautiful, crisp fall day! 50°F
Energy Level: 4 out of 10
Mood: 7/10
Health: 4/10

Despite a few things that could be considered to be going against me today, I'm in an inexplicably happy mood. Maybe I am getting better!

  • I got my 6th IgG shot and the anti-viral IV
  • It took the nurse 3 times to find my vein for the IV (not entirely her fault--too much scar tissue from donating blood in the past)
  • I was told my doctor is leaving the Fibromyalgia & Fatigue Center of Seattle (was a blow, but trying not to take it personally)
  • Drove across town to two appointments and later picked up some groceries as well as our CSA box -- tiring and painful!
  • Daniel left for a conference in Texas early (4:30 am) this morning, so even if I felt pathetic, I'm all alone
The old me might have seen these things piling up and might have felt like the world was somehow against me. A year ago, stepping over the shower tub ledge seemed like climbing Mt. Everest, and that, the first thing in the morning, would dampen my spirit. Not today! I felt hopeful and crisp like today's sky. It was such a gorgeous fall day in Seattle -- the kind you'd get right before real winter -- and the indigo water shining on the lake was amazing.

And, check out what we got in our veggie box!
  • Cremini Mushrooms
  • Spaghetti Squash
  • Bunched Carrots
  • Golden Beets
  • Red Tomatoes
  • Braising Mix
  • Yellow Onion, Garlic
  • Jonagold Apples
  • Kiwi
  • Fuyu Persimmons
  • Pomegranates
If this is not a great fall bounty, I don't know what is. Very exciting.

I also had some blood drawn for lab work, to see if I'm doing any better with the viruses. It really depends on the person, and I'm told it might take 15-20 shots for some people to see the results from IgG shots, so we'll see. I feel like I took a test and am waiting for it to come back, graded. I may also feel worse later tonight and tomorrow. But I won't let those things get to me -- it's exciting that I feel my spirit lifted, and I'll enjoy it while I can :-)

P.S. Daniel: It's not because you're gone I'm happy -- I swear! I miss you terribly. I wish I could've opened the box with you :-/
